The curtain raiser to the A-League game between Wellington Phoenix and Newcastle Jets. Tasman United looking for their 1st ever win. The Weenix have started the season with 2 impressive performances, including snatching a late winner in the Wellington derby last weekend.

League position : Weenix 6th, Tasman 8th

Last season : The first ever league meeting between these teams.
They did meet pre season in Nelson when the Weenix won 1-0

My pick : As much as I'd like to say Tasman I think the Weenix have been looking impressive and will win this 2-1

Last season : Waitakere United thrashed Southern United 6-0

Stat chat : It is almost a full calendar year since Southern United last won a game
